   There is no “L” or “A” or “Y” or “D” in any of the subcategories. How about SPORFK? or KNORSP? and in the central picture, is the knife’s edge on the handle? or am I missing the point?

   I wondered about that too. “Splayd” rhymes with “blade”, suggesting a knife. The tines of a fork might be splayed.
   How about “futensil”? That’s an implement that’s useless at multiple functions.
