Seems to me it is past time for a major reevaluation of Rube Goldberg, accompanied by a groundbreaking retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art.
I wonder how many of his constructions survive.
Rube Goldberg was a cartoonist. I don’t think he actually built any of the contraptions.
